Andrew Thomas

During an eight year career at the Lawn Tennis Association, Andrew was responsible for the commercial activities of one of Britain’s top sports. He has sold rights and managed relationships within the affinity marketing, hospitality, sponsorship, licensing and New Media sectors, working with partners such as Adidas, Marsh, Red Letter Days, HBOS, MBNA, and Holiday Inn. From major events, including the Wimbledon Championships, to grassroots participation campaigns.

Andrew has built up an extensive knowledge of the sports industry ‘food chain’ and a skill set that has been equally relevant to other sectors.

During 2007/8 he has provided this expertise to The Lord’s Taverners sports charity in the capacity of Commercial Director. Prior to this, Andrew enjoyed an operations and procurement career in hotel management and then as Head of Central Services at The National Farmers’ Union. The NFU, as one of the largest trade associations in Europe, has extensive operations and Andrew was central to maintaining and enhancing services during the ‘white heat’ of the BSE crisis in the 1990s
